Politics in a democracy – Politik in einer Demokratie

Modul 1 des Orientierungskurses, den ich zur Zeit unterrichte, nennt sich “Politik in der Demokratie” und eines der Lernziele ist, selbstständig Informationen zu finden und diese zu bewerten.

Wer ist der deutsche Bundeskanzler? Wer ist der Ministerpräsident unseres Bundeslandes? Wer ist der Bundespräsident?

Namen und Fotos des derzeitigen Bundespräsidenten haben die meisten Kursteilnehmer gefunden.

So sieht er aus:

Meine Fotosammlung fanden alle toll. So viele lockere Bilder in legeren Situationen! Und dann die Sensation, als ich ihnen sagte, dass ich diese Bilder selbst aufgenommen habe. Das Tüpfelchen auf dem i – ein Bild von mir neben ihm:

Halt!! Alles zurück auf Anfang! In der heutigen Lektion ging es nicht um aktuelle Politiker, sondern darum, dass man nicht alles glauben darf, was wir hören oder sehen.

Das hier ist übrigens Frank-Walter Steinmeier, der deutsche Bundespräsident seit 2017.

Modul 1 of the orientation course, which I’m currently teaching, is called “Politics in democracy”, and one of the learning targets is to find and evaluate information independently.

Who is the German chancellor? Who is the Premier of our federal state? Who is the German president?

Most of the course participants found the name and photos of the current German president.
