I Was a Valentine!

Before it’s too late I wanted to share that one of my students brought me a bunch of tulips for Valentine’s Day yesterday (his wife was there and she approved).

Needless to say, I cannot encourage my students to gift me things, in fact, there are laws against it, but every now and again such a charming, innocent gesture just warms the soul of a teacher.

Bevor es zu spät ist, möchte ich noch schnell erzählen, dass mir einer der Kursteilnehmer gestern einen Strauß Tulpen zum Valentinstag gebracht hat (seine Frau war dabei und hatte nichts dagegen).

Natürlich kann ich die Teilnehmer nicht dazu auffordern, mir etwas zu schenken, überhaupt und weil es gibt Gesetze dagegen gibt, aber ab und zu streichelt so eine reizende, unschuldige Geste einfach die Seele.
